The AFS Silk comes in three sizes, below are the recommended stabilizer combinations:
- Silk 650: 132 stabilizer for in the pocket prone foiling, 38 HA to increase pump and glide as well as expand the wave power range lower.
- Silk 850: 142 stabilizer for in the pocket prone foiling and hard carving wing foiling. 40 HA to increase pump and glide to prone foil smaller less powerful waves or carvy downwinding in strong conditions.
- Silk 1050: 152 stabilizer for maximum carving, 43 HA to increase the pump and glide abilities of the 1050.
In regards to masts we recommend the AFS UHM masts to take advantage of all the Silk has to offer but the HR makes for a great value proposition and shallow surf option.
The AFS UHM in 75 really helps dial up the maneuverability so it's fun to pair with the Silk 1050 in small surf. The 95 we really only recommend for tow foiling larger waves with the Silk 650. The other sizes are personal preference based on what you are used to.
